Artist Interventions
Many artists visited the Academy's biological collections while I worked there (2005 - 2012) and I became the unofficial "liaison" between them and the research scientists and collections that they wished to visit for inspiration and research for their own projects. The following images feature selected works from a few of the artists that I was so fortunate to meet and "sneak" behind the scenes! (David Thom, Gary Brewer, Adriane Colburn, Amber Stucke, Gary Nakamoto, Heather Harding, Chris Jehly).
