I am thrilled to have been selected for the 2015 Creative Code Fellowship Program at the Gray Area Foundation for the Arts! Aside from pushing me to attempt to document my "process" and enter the world of blogging, the fellowship involves 12 weeks of an immersive series of classes exploring the art and tools of creative coding as well as places fellows in the studios of the sponsoring organizations and agencies. This year, we are stationed in Stamen Design; an SF-data-viz-legend that has revolutionized the way we make, use, and perceive of maps (and other digital, interactive-map-like-things). The fellowship culminates in a public showcase on August 26th, 2015 at Gray Area's Grand Theater in the Mission district of San Francisco. This blog will cover weekly posts about my project but I am excited to have a forum to post my other musings in the realms of science, environmental change, art, history, travel, and everything in between. If you happen to explore the rest of this website, please comment on anything here as it is mega-beta and I welcome feedback. Onward and upward!
